…a commemorative ‘pin of pride’ that symbolizes nationalism….
Against the backdrop of Jamaica’s National Senior Athletic Trails Jamaica 50 Secretariat launched its prestigious One Million Pins Initiative a commemorative lapel pin of pride that symbolizes love and respect for country and commitment to the tenets of the National Pledge.
“The One Million Pins Initiative is a global movement that seeks to rally Jamaicans at home and abroad to wear this ‘pin of pride’, confirms Robert Bryan, Project Director of Jamaica 50.
“We have a population of 2.8 million and the Diaspora is estimated to be nearly as large, we want to use this opportunity – our 50th anniversary – our Golden Jubilee – to try and unify our beloved country” Bryan continues.
