Business Opportunities

Lisa-Ann O’Gilvie, Director of Events, Jamaica 50 is confirming “there are tremendous business opportunities for entrepreneurs and other businesses existing within the Village experience”.
Continuing she confirms, “The exhibition within the National Arena will present a retrospective view with the participation of many corporate entities whose corporate history has mirrored Jamaica’s 50 years as an independent nation. A range of other entities; from museums and entrepreneurs, to local ministries and agencies will participate in the exposition. The National Arena is expected to draw a huge audience from the projected 165,000 persons expected to visit the Jubilee Village over the six-day period”.

In addition to the Arena, the East and West wings of the Jamaica 50 Golden Jubilee Village, which encompasses the car park and areas external to Independence Park, offers major commercial opportunities for food and craft vendors as well as advertisers.

The anticipated surge of Jamaicans turning out to celebrate our nation’s 50th has meant major operational planning for easy access to food and other amenities on a major scale which has broaden the opportunities available to local entrepreneurs, and will include branding opportunities on the multi-media boards as well as the infield during the Grand Gala. Project Director, Robert Bryan, is urging all Jamaicans to come together with one vision and one purpose, that of making our nation Jamaica beautiful.

Continuing he said; “Let us all join as one great nation and celebrate our history let us teach the next generation the values and what makes us truly Jamaican as we together, young and old write the next 50 years as an independent nation.”
